Respected Guest :
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 2009 China Civil Aviation Development Forum, I invite you to attend our 2009 Forum on May 14-15 at the China World Hotel,Beijing.
With the growing size and influence of the Chinese aviation system and market, more and more foreign companies and organizations tried to learn more about Chinese aviation. In 2007,CAAC recognized the growing needs for more international communications, and decided to be proactive and provide an opportunity for foreign guests to spend two days in Beijing at our Forum and hear presentations from all the top leaders of Chinese civil aviation. The Forum provides the opportunity for “one-stop shopping” to both learn about the Chinese aviation system and market and to meet Chinese aviation leaders. The Forum proved to be an immediate success, with 350 attendees in both 2007 and 2008. As a result of the large and high level attendance, forum participants also have the opportunity to hear presentations and talk with many top leaders in aviation from outside of China.
Because of the significant amount of effort and logistics to organize a program with this many top Chinese aviation leaders, we are able to host such a Forum just once each year. Therefore, we encourage you to attend the May 2009 Forum since a similar opportunity will not be available until May 2010. In the past two Forums, we have found that both companies with significant experience in China and companies new to China appreciate the Forum, although perhaps for different reasons. Both types of guests benefit from listening to and discussing with top Chinese and foreign aviation leaders, and the many opportunities to network.
The 2009 Forum will continue the tradition of having the very top leaders of CAAC make presentations and attend lunches and dinners. In the past, these top leaders included CAAC Administrator Li JiaXiang, Deputy Administrator Yang GuoQing, and Director Generals of important departments such as Zhuang WenWu (Policy, Law, Regulations Department) , Zhang HongYing (Aircraft Airworthiness &Certification) , Wang LiYa (Air Traffic Management Bureau) , etc.
Top leaders from Chinese industry have included Kong Dong, President of Air China, Liu ShaoYong, President of China Southern, etc.
Top leaders from international organizations have included Guenther Matschnigg, Senior VP of IATA for Safety, Operations, and Infrastructure.
The 2009 program is guaranteed to have an equally, or even stronger group of speakers.
We look forward to meeting you in Beijing on May 14, 2009!
Mr. Wei Jincai
